چکیده
Over the last few decades, efforts to transition global production of fuels and chemicals toward renewable carbon feedstocks have accelerated. A large portion these focused on valorization one most abundant sources, lignocellulose. Pretreatment lignocellulose is first critical step in this process. In study, novel ionic liquid (IL) systems consisting multiple ions known be effective at biomass pretreatment were tested woody grassy biomass. Molecular simulations experimental results established synergistic advantages combining specific individual components systems. For pine (woody) biomass, with combination imidazolium, cholinium, acetate, lysinate achieved 80% glucose 70% xylose yields high loading. sorghum an IL system comprising lysinate, palmitate not only enabled a 98% yield but was also found biocompatible one-pot configuration, producing biofuel precursor bisabolene using engineered strain yeast Rhodosporidium toruloides.

متن کاملIonic Liquid Pretreatment and Enzymatic Hydrolysis of Wood Biomass
Pretreatment of lignocellulosic biomass materials from poplar, acacia, oak, and fir with different ionic liquids (ILs) containing 1-alkyl-3-methyl-imidazolium cations and various anions has been carried out. The dissolved cellulose from biomass was precipitated by adding anti-solvents into the solution and vigorous stirring. Commercial cellulases Celluclast 1.5L and Accelerase 1000 have been us...

This article gives an overview on the applications of ionic liquids (ILs) and IL-based solvent systems in the pretreatment of lignocellulosic biomass. It is divided int...
متن کاملAn Integrated Process of Ionic Liquid Pretreatment and Enzymatic Hydrolysis of Lignocellulosic Biomass with Immobilised Cellulase
An integrated process of lignocellulosic biomass conversion was set up involving pretreatment by an ionic liquid (IL) and hydrolysis of cellulose using cellulase immobilised by the sol-gel method, with recovery and reuse of both the IL and biocatalyst. As all investigated ILs, regardless of the nature of the anion and the cation, led to the loss of at least 50% of the hydrolytic activity of cel...
متن کاملExtraction-Separation of Eu(III)/Th(IV) Ions with a Phosphorylated Ligand in an Ionic Liquid
Extraction-separation of Eu(III) and Th(IV) ions from nitrate media into the ionic liquid 1-hexyl-3-methylimidazolium hexafluorophosphate by a phosphorylated salen extractant, bis(chlorophosphoryle)decahydro-2,4-di(2-hydroxyphenyl)benzo[d][1,3,6]oxadiazepine (DPO), is investigated. It is found that Eu(III) ions are extracted via a solvation mechanism, and the extraction of Th(IV) i...
